digital collages (mind = blown)

If you've ever walked into my bedroom / apartment chances are your visual cortex has been slammed by a plethora of magazine clippings splattering walls and inhabiting frames. It's 2014 and I'm still quite addicted to old fashioned collages, I think pinterest takes away all of the tangible fun!

Being a little set in my ways, (read: stubborn) I would have never thought of turning magazine clippings into digital images. Cue a beautiful mess's post on making your own typographic art. Light bulb went off -- like a "the files are IN the computer" moment (sidenote: I have been using a borderline creepy amount of zoolander quotes in day to day life lately). I'm excited to see what kinds of "art" I can make with my scanner. Ransom note possibilities just got a whole lot more intricate (kidding, kidding I would only ever take chocolate ransom guys).

This week I'm putting in some long hours stitching, collage-ing, card making and crocheting to finish up my best friend's birthday presents, can't wait to share the finished products with you!

  1. there's still something especially rewarding about going through an old magazine for the zillionth time with a pair of scissors! I always love looking at your collages, and I'd never thought to do them like this either! swooning over that blue dress up top.

sounds like you're having a very crafty week- hope you are doing well!

    ♥ perfectly Priya
